The auto load sensing was an attempt at making the DD more economical, and meet the “HE” guidelines. it doesn’t do too bad, but the thing that’s strange is selecting fabric softener to “on” it completely negates any form of low water level on the rinse, and defaults to a completely full tub. The brief agitation at the start of the wash is the machine helping to saturate the clothing, to better determine the water level, based on how long it takes to fill to a certain level. It’s a very unique system.

I had the ge version didn’t even vibrate. Great washer

GE and Whirlpool used completely different drive splines to attach the agitator to the transmission post. I’ve seen people put a Whirlpool Super Surgilator in a Maytag, but have to get get a completely different agitator and cut it down to the base then find a way to super glue the Super Surgilator onto the Maytag agitator base.

I like the wash action. I'd like to see the 2006 GE washer on extra heavy cottons and normal/fast with a super sized load.

Sounds about as long as it would last too. I bet you wouldn't get 6 months of trouble free use out of it inside a laundromat before it would be broken down with something major wrong with it. .

I have a toilet similar to this one ( Kilgore 201 ws *201-40* made in February 26th 1980 and it works like a charm ) Edit: it also flushes EXACTLY like this one
